Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, has in recent years revealed herself as a Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist by supporting other TERFs through her social media presence and public statements. As a way to reclaim a fandom she loves and combat this hate, Raina Sinclair is having a Harry Potter themed charity burlesque event for her 28th birthday and 9th burlesque anniversary. All proceeds from this show will go to the Ali Forney Center in Harlem (https://www.aliforneycenter.org/) a homeless shelter and community center for supporting LGBTQ youth in need.
